Very good lens. Not the best one Canon offers but does exactly what I needed. I considered buying the canonical 1.4 L to about 24 millimeters a year, but could not justify the price. I could buy three of these for the price of the 24mm. I wanted a little light good, fast lens with candid shots, take the crappy flash on the camera. Hoya SUPER HMC Extra Thin - Filter - circular polarizer - 55 mm

The filter is very thin which gives good result at the corners of the pictures.This means there are no more shades around the pictures especially with wide angle captures. Although this thin rim of the lens causes another problem: Original Nikon lens cap does not fit in the filter. There fore I have to protect it with its own rubber cap.

POW.The picture went from great to incredible.It was a bright, sharp, as 3D. Cable is terific and Blue Ray's are stunning.I put in I Robot and the images looked like I was on the movie set watching it get filmed.The sound is great and sounds like youre in the threatre. .
